On July 14, while crossing from Stockholm to Malmo, Evgeny Kovalevsky sustained a rib injury. Upon arrival in Malmö, the traveler underwent a medical examination to determine the severity of the injury and receive recommendations for treatment.
The examination showed that Evgeny had no broken ribs – the expedition leader got away with a slight bruise. The doctor prescribed local treatment for Yevhen and told him to exercise as much as possible until he recovered.
“The trip is so long, and there will still be a lot of injuries of different complexity. We have insurance with Sogaz company, so we can ask for help from the medics,” Yevgeniy Kovalevskiy shared with the Coastal Center, “Now I also carry shifts and take part in our meetings with the countries. My chest is fixed with an elastic bandage and I apply ointments to the bruised area.”
