14 иOn July 14 Evgeny Kovalevsky was injured. Recall that at present the trimaran of the expedition «On the Way of the Russian Round-the-World Navigators» is heading in the direction of the Swedish city of Malmo. Earlier, after leaving Stavsnes harbor near Stockholm on July 11 it was planned to sail to Copenhagen (Denmark). However, on the way the crew found out that it was impossible to enter Denmark due to worsening epidemiological situation in the country and introduction of covid restrictions. The crew decided to reschedule the meeting with the Danes in Swedish Malmo, which is located near the capital of Denmark.
During the crossing to Malmo, Evgeny Kovalevsky suffered a rib injury. Checking the fasteners on the right outrigger of the trimaran, he could not hold on the wave and slipped. Eugene fell on the stringer with his right side and broke a rib. According to the travelers, the condition of the head of the expedition is normal. The captain of the trimaran Stanislav and the new crew member Ruslan helped Eugene to fix the rib with elastic bandages and the man is in bed rest. Evgeny reports his condition to the Coastal Center in Tomsk.
