The participants of the round-the-world expedition called «On the way of Russian round-the-world navigators» signed cooperation agreements with the company «Cardama» and the representative of the Russian Consulate in Galicia, Pedro Mourinho, on September 3.
The head of the Coastal Center of the expedition, Yulia Kalyuzhnaya, visited the final meeting at the Russian Consulate in Galicia with Pedro Mourinho on September 3. Agreements on mutual cooperation were established at the meeting, the results of joint activities in Spain (Galicia) were summed up. Yulia Kalyuzhnaya invited the Honorary Consul to Siberia, to the Festival of the Russian Geographical Society, which will be held this winter in Tomsk.
The company «Cardama» is the largest shipyard in Spain. Its CEO, Mario Cardama, continues the work of his great-great-grandfather, who founded the company more than 100 years ago. In addition to the shipbuilding business, the company implements public projects. One of the current ideas for implementation is the creation of an «underwater world» with the possibility of training. The project is implemented in cooperation with the University of Vigo. We would like to remind you that «Cardama» helps the crew of the sailing trimaran «Russian Ocean Way» to carry out a serious modification of the vessel at the shipyard before throwing it across the Atlantic.
